No matter your age, if you are in need of regular orthodontic services to help maintain your smile, we’re here to help. At Batastini Orthodontics in Cherry Hill, Hammonton, and Vineland, New Jersey, we offer a range of services to patient of all ages to help maximize their oral health.
Along with the American Association of Orthodontists, we recommend that a child receive their first orthodontic evaluation by the age of 7. Early orthodontic treatment has proven to be beneficial for the overall desired result and not only saves you and your child time, but also money. Because a young child’s permanent teeth have not finished erupting, we are able to thoroughly evaluate and address any impending issues at this early stage.
At your child’s initial evaluation we will first determine if there are any problems; such as crowding, overbite, open bite, etc. At this visit Dr. Batastini will decide if immediate treatment is necessary or not. If treatment is indicated, we will create a customized treatment plan for your child that will provide the most efficient and beneficial results for his/her case.

More and more adults are deciding to get orthodontic treatment to improve their smile. Proper tooth alignment can be achieved at any age, provided your gums and supporting bone structure are healthy. We offer a variety of treatments that are designed for different age groups, including adults. It’s never too late to seek orthodontic treatment.
Crooked teeth and an improper bite are contributors to gum and bone loss, tooth decay, abnormal enamel wear, uneven wear of tooth surfaces, headaches and jaw joint (TMJ/TMD) pain. Adult orthodontic treatment can improve your personal appearance and self-confidence. Improved teeth and gum health is another benefit of treatment.
During the initial evaluation, we will be able to determine the best possible treatment for your individual needs. At this visit Dr. Batastini will discuss the treatment plan, expected treatment time, and estimated cost.
TRADITIONAL – STAINLESS STEEL BRACES
We offer a variety of braces. Traditional braces are made of stainless steel and are attached to the cheek side of the patient’s teeth. There may or may not be colored elastic surrounding them. Braces have been designed to allow the orthodontist to move a patient’s teeth in a three dimensional manner.
SELF LIGATING BRACES
Self ligating braces are braces that do not need any ties or small rubber bands to hold the wires in place. These braces are great for helping patients achieve a healthy, beautiful smile with ease.
Benefits of self ligating braces include:
- Shorter appointments
- Reduced treatment time
- Fewer adjustments and less appointments
- Improved facial proportion and appearance
- Greater comfort
There is no dispute about the fact that in the last decade Invisalign® has become one of the most important developments in dentistry, and one that thousands of patients have taken advantage of.
Invisalign® as well as ClearCorrect are systems that straightens teeth without the use of traditional braces. A series of clear plastic aligners are utilized to create tooth movement. Moving teeth with removable aligners is not new. It is the computer program that generates a series of aligners with small changes that is new.
Dr. Batastini is certified by the Invisalign® and ClearCorrect companies to offer patients with this convenient teeth straightening system. They are recommended for most orthodontic situations with mild to moderate spacing or crowding. The aligners are virtually undetectable, easy to use, and comfortable to wear.
